Biebl® Bio-Based PDO Makes Its Debut in South America: C1 Life Technologies and DPV Showcase at In-Cosmetics Latin America 2025
On September 23rd and 24th, the São Paulo Exhibition Center in Brazil welcomed the annual cosmetics event - In-Cosmetics Latin America 2025. C1 Life Biotech, along with local distributor DPV, jointly participated in the exhibition. At booth A60, our core product Biebl® bio-based 1,3-propanediol was showcased with great impact. This participation reinforced our commitment to bringing sustainable biotech solutions to Latin America’s dynamic beauty and personal care markets.
As one of the largest and most professional international exhibitions for cosmetics and personal care ingredients in South America, In-Cosmetics Latin America 2025 attracted tens of thousands of professionals from around the world. The event featured a comprehensive range of innovations—from natural and organic ingredients to eco-friendly packaging solutions, and from biotechnological applications to low-preservative formulation advances. It provided a dynamic platform showcasing inspiring new raw materials, technologies, solutions, and cutting-edge products.
A Strategic Move into South America’s Market
Brazil is the world's largest market for perfumes and deodorants, the second-largest for hair care, oral hygiene, men’s grooming, children’s products, sun care, and ranks among the top five globally in skincare, color cosmetics, and hair color products.
C1 Life Biotech’ presence at the fair is not only an important move in its global strategy, but also demonstrates the growing influence of China’s bio-manufacturing sector. With its innovative (non-grain, non-GMO, non-pathogenic) production process, C1 Life Biotech has established a 15,000-ton production base in Jinan, Shandong Province, and its products have obtained international certifications such as USDA, RSPO, COSMOS, REACH, and HALAL, laying a solid foundation for global market access.
This time, C1 Life Biotech collaborated with distributor DPV to deeply penetrate the Latin American market, further enhancing the global layout of the "emerging markets". At the exhibition site, many brand representatives from Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico stated that the "three-non" technology of C1 Life has broken through the resource limitations and safety hazards of traditional raw materials, providing a new option for Latin American beauty enterprises to achieve the dual goals of "compliance and sustainability".
Unlocking Formula Potential with Multi-Functional PDO
At the exhibition site, Biebl®Bio-Based 1,3-Propanediol stood out with its four advantages: moisturization, anti-corrosion, skin feel and safety. As a multi-functional base ingredient in cosmetics, this product achieves long-lasting hydration through dual mechanisms of moisture absorption and film-forming hydration. It can maintain stable effects even in low humidity environments, and has a refreshing and non-greasy skin feel, completely solving the drawbacks of traditional glycerin and 1,2-propanediol, such as stickiness and irritation.
With the conclusion of In-Cosmetics Latin America 2025, the joint exhibition of C1 Life Biotech and DPV achieved results beyond expectations. C1 Life’s introduction of advanced bio-based technologies made a strong impression on the Latin American market. Moving forward, C1 Life will focus on PDO as the core and explore the development of derivative products such as degradable cosmetic packaging materials, continuously empowering the global beauty industry to upgrade.
